Learn more about what the HTML <big> tag is in this article.

The HTML <big> tag is used to define larger text. It renders the text within the tags at a size one font larger than the rest of the text and is useful when someone wanted to increase the font size, but didn’t want to modify their CSS file.

The <big> tag is now deprecated. Even though it is still supported in most web browsers, it is no longer a part of the HTML5 specification and it is not recommended to use it. This means that it is outdated and may not continue to be supported in web browsers. Instead, CSS should be used to adjust the size of the text.
