If you want to quickly learn HTML, the first thing that you should consider is using coding websites, like W3Schools. W3Schools has everything you need to know about HTML, including all the tags and global attributes. On each page, W3Schools has useful information about browser compatibility, browser attributes, and usage.
W3Schools also includes examples that you can directly edit in your web browser to see the output, so you don't need to copy and paste any HTML markup into your web browser, save the file, and then see the output. If you read and follow all the examples, you should learn a lot about HTML in a short amount of time.
Another example of a website you can use to learn HTML is Khan Academy. Khan Academy provides online learning for a wide range of subjects and also provides free online HTML courses. It contains videos of the HTML being typed onto the document and the output, HTML tips, and HTML challenges. To save your progress, you will need to create an account. Both W3Schools and Khan Academy are free websites, so you don't have to pay a fee or sign up for a paid subscription to access the information about HTML.

Most Coursera courses can be taken free of charge. However, you will have to pay if you want to access a course certificate. You will have to pay for most Udemy courses, but they do offer some free courses for students to get an idea. FutureLearn offers some HTML courses. They are free to access, but you will have to complete it within a certain amount of time and if you want access after that time is up, you will have to pay.
The benefits of taking an online HTML course from a course site are that you can easily keep track of your progress due to most of the courses being split up into steps and weeks. Also, you might also be able to receive a certificate from an online course site to prove that you completed the HTML course, but most online course sites are not accredited.
The best way of quickly learning HTML is to create a website yourself. This will help you learn as you will actually have experience of creating a website yourself. In order to create a website, you won't only need to have knowledge of HTML. You will need a good understanding of the 'big three' languages, which are HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Creating a website from scratch by yourself will really help you to understand how HTML works.
