This means that on Twitter, users will mostly see small posts. The character limit will help individuals write more precise posts since it forces everyone to be as brief as possible. However, Facebook is more suitable for longer posts due to its very large character limit, meaning that individuals do not need to create multiple posts to publish something longer than 280 characters.
On Facebook, individuals are more likely to be friends with people they know. It is more about social friendships and people make connections on Facebook with their friends, family members, and other people that they know to keep in touch with them. On Twitter, individuals can follow anyone who has a public profile. Twitter allows people to follow important topics, people, and conversations that are relevant or interesting to them. Twitter is more focused on getting the audience to spread a message by reposting and quoting a post. People can still comment on posts, but it is harder to engage with the audience on a deeper level compared to Facebook.
When creating a Facebook post, it is only visible to friends. However, on Twitter, it is visible to everyone unless it is set to private. This means that anyone can view almost everyone's Twitter account and history even if they are not following them. The reduced organic visibility on Facebook makes it harder to grow an audience than on Twitter.
